One of my all-time favorite Aruba resorts, the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa , located on popular Palm Beach, has completed the final phase of a $30 million property-wide renovation. The comprehensive, two-year renovation program encompassed all guestrooms, suites and public areas. If you've visited this resort in the past and loved it - you're going to want to go back and see what's new - it's quite luxurious and just perfect for couples AND families alike!
The award-winning AAA Four-Diamond Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa sits on 15 acres with 1,500 feet of beachfront. The hotel features 355 guestrooms including 30 luxurious suites and exclusive Plaza Club accommodations, and more than 35,000 sq. ft. of indoor meeting space and landscaped outdoor function space. The Grand Caribbean Ballroom accommodates up to 900 people. Outdoor venue options include the largest expanse of white sandy beach on the island plus exotic lagoons, cascading waterfalls and manicured tropical gardens as well as a grand lawn and an elaborate 30,000 sq. ft. pool deck with two freeform swimming pools. The resort's award-winning oceanfront Larimar Spa, known for unique treatments incorporating ingredients from the island, is considered the most comprehensive spa in Aruba.
Key upgrades to the property include renovated guestrooms and suites which boast updated décor intended to recapture the resort's retro period originally masterminded by the renowned designer Morris Lapidus. Contemporary amenities and cutting-edge technology enhance the distinctive design. New floor-to-ceiling soundproof glass windows and doors were installed and showcase spectacular ocean and garden views, and room interiors feature new furnishings, upgraded lighting, digital climate control, flat screen TVs and iHome clocks, and Simmons Luxury Plush EverNu mattresses plus new bedding, carpeting and artwork. A redesigned open-air lobby now features sweeping views of the ocean, beach and pool, all guest corridors have been refreshed, and the resort's tropical landscape has also been enhanced.
The Radisson Aruba captures the essence of Aruban charm with sumptuous cuisine in three restaurants, including Sunset Grille (photo at left), Radisson's signature restaurant and the island's only AAA Four Diamond restaurant, and Mira Solo (meaning "look at the sun" in Papiamento), the island's only martini bar, featuring a variety of 52 martinis. Both Sunset Grille and Mira Solo have been renovated.
The resort's versatile, multifunctional conference and special event space has been enhanced with new carpeting, updated décor and upgraded A/V capabilities, and casino improvements include new décor and state-of-the art gaming equipment. The resort has also expanded its unique interactive aviary program allowing guests to visit nine tropical birds living in appropriate habitats on-site. These special guests include Macaws, a Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo, African Grey Parrots, a Cuban Amazon Parrot and a Brazilian Toucan.
The resort offers a breakfast, lunch and beverage inclusive option (including a $100 dinner credit valid w/5 night minimum stays) for those who prefer the convenience of a budget-friendly meal plan. Plus there's a new shopping plaza nearby and a 5-star PADI dive and water sports center on the beach. AND it's the perfect location for a dream Caribbean destination wedding. SO! What's not to love - this is one of those resorts that just has everything you could possibly want and then some!
